I recently completed the machine learning course at Udacity and now I'm energized and want to try it out. I've been trying to think up appropriately interesting projects. Here are a few of my ideas. I'll update you on future with what I end up doing.

  1. I play D&D and I wanted to write something that could look at a grid-mapped image and translate it into a css grid with correctly sized rows and columns for online gaming projects.
  2. I want to see if I can determine the genre/type of a book from the jacket cover. I know this has been done but I feel like it could be good practice. Maybe even try it with video game covers
  3. Something that tries to determine the generate sane dungeon maps from scratch. This is the most difficult of my ideas.
  4. write a genetic algorithm that plays a simple game (flappy bird? 2048? It's been done – just not by me)
